Harkness Highlight

Have you met our new PE teacher yet?  Mr. A is new to Harkness this year and is already transforming our physical education program.  He's also supporting us with crossing guard duty on 54th after school!  Feel free to stop by to introduce yourself and welcome him to the harkness family.

-Important Reminders-

Emotional Regulation Tools Donation Drive-  We are committed to ensuring a safe, supportive environment here at Harkness and want our students to learn strategies to both identify and regulate their emotions when they have big feelings.  Our goal is for each classroom, along with our office and after school program, to have an emotional regulation toolbox.  Please click HERE to view our Amazon Wish List and purchase items to donate if you're able.  THANK YOU!

4th-6th Flag Football-   Until games begin, practices will be on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays from 3:10 to 4:30.  Please be sure to complete and submit paperwork this week. Games will begin at the end of September and will be on Wednesdays.  We are excited to announce games for our division will be played at Harkness this year!

Volunteers/ Chaperones NEEDED-  We desperately need parents/ guardians to become official volunteers so you can be chaperones on field trips.  We would like to take our students on more field trips but cannot do so without YOU!  Please stop by the office to pick-up a volunteer packet and talk with Ms. Debbie or Ms. Larissa about the process.

ParentSquare

Ms. Scheeline's Sunday Evening Viking Blasts will now be shared and stored in ParentSqaure, our new district-wide communication platform.

ParentSquare is a parent/ guardian engagement tool that helps school staff and teachers easily communicate and collaborate with each other.  Click HERE to learn more about how ParentSquare works and to download the app on your phone.

You will receive all schoolwide communication through ParentSquare and, overtime, it is our hope that Harkness teachers will be communicating on ParentSquare, too!
